CUC Registration Information

In Order to qualify for CUC your team must qualify to represent your region.  Each region has a certain number of bids allocated per division.

Steps to Register

  • Contact your regional coordinator & CUPA (ed AT canadianultimate.com) to express interest in attending CUC.  You should include the following information: Team name, team contact, city most players are from & division.  Regional coordinators will organize the dates for regionals if necessary.

  • Send in a deposit cheque for $500 to CUPA postmarked no later than June 15th, 2008.  Please ensure that the cheque is sent on time or your team will not qualify for CUC.  These cheques will only be cashed if a team qualifies for CUC and then decides not to attend.  Cheques should be written to "CUPA" and can be sent to:

Changes to CUC Tournament Manual for 2008

The CUC Tournament Manual has been updated for this upcoming season.  A couple of major changes include:

  • Master's age has been held at 33 this year (to keep with international standards as used by WFDF and the UPA, both of which have a minimum age of 33 this year).
  • Uniform requirements have been added for teams at CUC - all teams must have 2 colours of jerseys with individual numbers.  These requirements are suggested but not required at regionals.
  • Deposits for teams interested in attending CUC are due no later than June 15.  Deposits will not be cashed unless a team withdraws an earned bid to CUC or if they do not pay their Membership or CUC fees in full.
  • Roster minimums - to participate at CUC teams must have a minimum of 14 players on their roster.  This is to reduce the risk of injuries and of teams defaulting or playing shorthanded due to lack of able-bodied players.

New Proposed Amateur Sport Network

Two new amateur sport television networks have been proposed before the CRTC.  These new networks would promote amateur sport across Canada and present a great opportunity for Ultimate to get televised in the future.  If you would like to support amateur sport and the development of these networks, please click on CASN RSAC link.
