National Junior Director (français)
After a couple years of service, Teresa Pollett-Boyle has stepped down as the Canadian Ultimate Players Association’s (CUPA) National Junior Director (NJD). Teresa has played an important role in the development of junior ultimate and the CUPA would like to thank her for her contribution to our organization and the development of junior ultimate across the country! We wish her the best in her future endeavours!
Moving forward, the CUPA needs to recruit a new NJD and we are seeking applicants who are passionate about junior ultimate and interested in giving back to the game. Whether you have experience as a coach, tournament director or organizer, if you are dedicated to supporting junior ultimate, we hope you will consider applying. A description of the NJD position is included below.

CUPA National Junior Director
Introduction
The National Junior Director (NJD) is a volunteer position that supports the development of junior ultimate in Canada. The NJD sits on various committees that address junior’s issues and works with the CUPA Executive Director and Board of Directors to improve junior ultimate across Canada.
Responsibilities

Chair and plan the annual junior coaches’ meeting at the Canadian Ultimate Championships (CUC)

Collect player conduct forms and coaching conduct forms for the Canadian Ultimate Championships (CUC)

Maintain communication with the CUPA Junior Board Member and the CUPA Executive Director throughout the year so that junior issues are on the table and under discussion.

Maintain communication with junior coaches throughout the country.

Sit on the CUPA Development Committee, which meets quarterly, to discuss junior development.

Sit on the CUPA Competition Committee, which meets quarterly, to voice concerns regarding junior athletes in competitive programs.

Sit on the CUPA Coaching Committee in an advisory role.
Term
The National Junior Director will have a term of 2 years. The CUPA is currently seeking a National Junior Director for the term of October 1st, 2009 to September 30th, 2011.
