Congratulations to the successful applicants for
earning their spot onto our Canadian National Junior Girls and Boys
Ultimate teams for the World Junior Ultimate Championships in Boston
2006 in August!!
Your dedication to your skill development and fitness undoubtedly
spoke for you during the drills and scrimmages. Only four short
months lie between you and the highest level of competitive junior
Ultimate that you will ever play.
To the players named to the alternate list -- you have a difficult
task of being at your mental and physical peak in case you're called
to represent our country on short notice. Thanks in advance for
your effort in ensuring you're ready to go.
Thanks, as well, to the remainder of our juniors; the coaches and
I express our thanks for your participation in Canada's first ever
Player Identification Camps -- your involvement was essential their
success. Indeed, there is a lot of talent at the junior level in
Canada - many younger players eligible for WJUC 2008 have a true
sense of what it will take to wear the Canadian flag next time around.
And a huge thanks to all the coaches and those who helped out at
the various camps, organizing, collaborating, working out the details
-- thanks for your commitment to our juniors!
