Air Transportation

Air Canada is the official airline of CUC. Remember to please book your flights early as World Track and Field Games are just before Canadian Disc Championships.

Ground Transportation

If you are planning on flying into Edmonton International Airport, be aware that it is quite a distance from the city (it’s basically located in a farmers field and boasts one of the longest runways in North America).  To get into town you will have to do one of four things:

1)      Rent a car from one of the rental agencies below.
2)      Take a taxi or limo into town (this will cost you between $35 - $50 each way)
 3)      Take the Sky Shuttle
 4)      Get somebody to pick you up 

If you aren’t planning on renting a car while you are in town and only need transportation from the airport to your hotel, your billet’s house or cardboard box by the river, may we suggest that you consider taking the Sky Shuttle.  The "Sky Shuttle" is a cost effective and convenient way to travel between Edmonton International Airport and various locations within the City of Edmonton. Rates are as follows:

Camping

Rainbow Valley Campground

Civilized camping close to the fields.  Kitchen shelter across from the sites, wood burning stoves on each site, free showers in the washrooms, laundry facilities, and kitchen sink with hot water on one side of east washroom for doing dishes.  The rate is $18.00/night/site.  You can view their website at:                     www.rainbow-valley.com
