For Immediate Release!

Imagine the sound of thousands of Ultimate-loving fans cheering you on as you step into Molson Stadium on August 17, 2003. Your team has battled hard all tournament long at St-Jean-sur-Richelieu and now the moment you have been dreaming about has arrived: Canadian Ultimate Championship Finals, 2003. The showdown for the title and the right to represent Canada at World Championships in Finland in 2004 hangs in the balance. Are you up for the challenge?

The CUC organizing committee has secured the best venue in the Montreal area for the Championship games. Molson Stadium, home to CFL favourites les Alouettes, is being refurbished with state of the art FieldTurf® this summer, just in time for Nationals. Unlike Astroturf™, this innovative new synthetic surface recreates the sensation of running on real grass. It is less abrasive, more durable and provides better traction than other artificial field surfaces. And best of all, this turf was designed for cleat wear (although we strongly recommend short-stud cleats or turf shoes for any player who qualifies for the Championship games).

CUC is also proud to announce that the blowout party on Saturday, August 16th, 2003 will be held at the chalet at the top of Mount Royal. With stunning views of downtown Montreal from the hippest locale in town, live music and plenty of extras, this will be one party you won’t want to miss!

Stay tuned for more CUC news!
