Want
to get in on the action at the event of the Canadian Ultimate
season?
Volunteer at the 2003 CUC in Montreal and you'll be rewarded with
tons
of free stuff, plus front-row access to fierce competition,
outstanding
athleticism and spirited play between elite-level teams vying
for title of "Canadian Champion."
Athletes from across the country will descend upon Montreal and
St-Jean-sur-Richelieu
between August 13-17th, 2003. The tournament organizing
committee wants to show the rest of Canada that Montreal is where
it's at not only in the world of Ultimate, but also as the
hot-bed
of "cool" in North America.
Please consider joining our list of ultimate players giving back
to the
community by volunteering their time and energy to produce the
best
tournament in the history of Canadian Ultimate.
As a volunteer, you'll have free access to all CUC-sponsored events,
including
the Saturday night party on Mount Royal, which promises to
be
a smashing success. Volunteers also receive:

Volunteers
wanted

the following volunteer positions are available. If you are interested
or have any questions regarding any of these positions, please
send a message to François Moisan cuc_volunteers@canadianultimate.com
The
Canadian Ultimate Championships is in need of graphic designers
fluent in Quark who are interested in doing contract lay out design
for the CUC program. The pay rate is a reduced volunteer rate,
but the experience can lead to further publishing contracts with
Chasing Plastic Magazine. Those interested must have their own
copy of Quark 4.0 on their own system, and access to the internet
and email. Please forward inquiries with a brief listing of experience
to Eric Reder at editor@chasingplastic.com.
Observers
Wanted!
In response to several requests from teams attending Canadian
Ultimate Championships 2003, CUPA is looking for experienced players
with detailed knowledge of the 10th Edition rules who interested
in being observers. We do not anticipate a huge demand, but we
would like to be able to provide observers upon request. Brian
Gisel, board member and experienced observer will be hosting a
clinic in Vancouver prior to Nationals. Jesse Bolan, Phoenix captain
and board member, will be holding a similar clinic in Ottawa.
There will also be a required 1-hour clinic for all observers
during the CUC. If you would like to find out more or volunteer
your services, please send us an e-mail. We'll keep you up to
date on the clinic nearest you.
