CUC 2004 is pleased to have WestJet offer
our tournament players the very lowest in air fare to and
from Vancouver. When booking your air travel, please call
WestJet and quote Tournament Account #20002 – Cdn.
Ultimate Championships 2004.
To book your tickets, you must call WestJet’s Specialty
Sales number at 1-888-493-7853. They will help you and your
teammates get the lowest possible fare.
Currently, there are no special deals
available via the car rental agencies for CUC. Travel directions
will be posted soon.
Due to the location of UBC, there are
no hotels in the immediate area (within a 5 minute drive).
However, the university has a wide range of accommodation
options, all of which are within a 5 minute walk of the
fields!
These options will put you and your team in the perfect
place to enjoy the tournament to its fullest.With the exception
of the final party, all games and other social events will
be held on campus. Buses for the final party will also depart
from Totem Park, Saturday night, taking you downtown in
time for you to sample any of Vancouver's hundreds of world
class restaurants, prior to attending a party that will
take full advantage of our new 4am last call by-law. Yes,
4am!
TEAM BOOKINGS:
2004 CUC has two blocks of rooms at UBC:
Totem Park Residence: 360 beds, in a mix of single and
double (two single beds) rooms. The CUC rate is $29.00 +
7% GST and 8% PHT, per person (includes a hot breakfast
daily). Housekeeping service includes linen supplied folded
on bed. We ask that guests bring their own towels and soap.
To reserve accommodation at Totem Park Residence for your
team, please complete and return one copy each of the enclosed
Ultimate
Guest List – Totem and Ultimate
Payment – Totem by July
26, 2004. Please note that we accept prepayment
in full in the form of corporate/certified cheques or credit
card (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express). Upon receipt
of payment there will be no refunds for cancellations, no-shows,
late arrivals or early departures; substitute reservations
over the same dates and in the same room types are accepted.
The Gage Towers at Walter Gage Residence,
located a 10 minute walk from the fields, has a block of
60 rooms. Apartments consist of 6 private bedrooms with
shared washroom, lounge, and kitchen facilities (no utensils).
The CUC rate is $36.00 + 7% GST and 8% PHT, per person (no
breakfast). Beds are made daily and linen changed after
4 days; towels and facecloths changed daily.

For individual bookings, or for those who wish to book accommodation
types other than those above, please view the options at

Do not book on-line, as you will be charged
the regular room rates, not the special CUC rate. To make
a booking for The Gage Towers or West Coast Suites print
out and fax or mail the enclosed Request
for Individual Accommodation at Gage Residence to the
Reservations Office. To reserve a room at Totem if you are
not part of a team booking, print out and fax or mail the
enclosed Request
for Individual Accommodations at Totem to the Reservations
Office. Or you may contact the Reservations Office directly
by email at reservations AT housing DOT ubc DOT ca, or phone
1 (604) 822-1000; be sure to mention that you are with the
Canadian Ultimate Championships in order for the group rate
to be applied (this rate is valid only until July 26, 2004,
after which date the group rate cannot be guaranteed).
