Canadian Ultimate players donate warm clothing and money from Indoor Tournaments

During November and December, 2004, Winnipeg, Regina and Montreal held Indoor tournaments that collected many boxes of warm clothing and some money that has been donated to three local Habitat for Humanity chapters as well as the Salvation Army in Regina, Operation GO Home in Winnipeg, and Dans la rue in Montreal. Ultimate players in Toronto, held an outdoor tournament and donated warm clothing to Toronto's Street Haven.

Many thanks to Camilo Rostoker in Regina, Angela Hilland in Winnipeg, Alison and Shiellah in Montreal, and John Harris in Toronto for their support in this initiative that encourages Canadian cities to host a "Forcing Home" Ultimate tournament in the early part of the winter in the spirit of reaching out to those who struggle not to live on the street.

For the weekend of November 21st and 22nd in 2004 it would be great if more cities in Canada would like to hold similar Indoor tournaments to create a chain of these tournaments across the country on an annual basis!
