Durham Elementary
Ultimate Tournament (CUPA-VC Ultimate Junior
Innovation Grant)
Last year's Durham Ultimate Elementary Tournament
(DUET) was a great success. Twelve schools participated and over
150 grade 6, 7, and 8 students had an amazing time. Spirit of the
Game was demonstrated by all participants, coaches, and parents.
This tournament helped to teach a new generation of Ultimate players
about fair play and respect. We plan on hosting another DUET in
June hoping to add several more schools and many new players. The
tournament organizers would like to thank CUPA and all of the sponsors
that made this possible. We look forward to working with all of
you again this year.

UltimAction Initiate More than 600 Kids this Summer!
In collaboration with the Unité Régionale
Loisir et Sport de Québec (URLS de Québec), UltimAction,
supported by the Mauvaises Herbes Ultimate Club (MHUC), allowed
more than 600 kids from 10 to 15 years of various holiday camps
of the area of Quebec to be initiated to the sport of Ultimate within
the program Mes 1er Jeux (http://www.ultimaction.com/visite_ecole.php).
During the workshops of 90 minutes, it was possible for the kids
to discover the techniques of throwing, the offensive and defensive
strategies, and the concept of no referees. Among the 17 sports
presented at Mes 1er Jeux, UltimAction is the organisation which
initiated the most youth this summer, after Ping-Pong. The experience
will be repeated indoor in January. Visit www.ultimaction.com
for more details.
Mes 1er Jeux (http://www.ultimaction.com/visite_ecole.php).
Visitez www.ultimaction.com
pour plus de détails.
