Be part of Team Canada in the 2004 Manitoba
Indigenous Summer Games

On behalf of the event organizers, CUPA is looking
for Ultimate players from across Canada to join forces with many
of Wininpeg's veteran, touring team and junior ranks to help introduce
the sport of Ultimate at the 2004
Manitoba Indigenous Summer Games (MISG). These games, with more
than 1,500 athletes, function as a training event for the North
American Indigenous Games to be held in Buffalo, NY in 2005.
On Saturday, July 24, 2004, Ultimate players will
help run clinics and scrimmages from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Situated
approximately 6 hours north of Winnipeg in the Pas/Opaskwayak Cree
Nation and, MISG participants will also play in a demonstration
Ultimate game, scheduled for July 24th at 7 pm. Thanks to the UPA's
Innovation Grants program, we will be able to supply northern recreation
directors, representatives in North American Aboriginal sport, politicians
and athletes in attendance at the MISG with discs.

Ultimate will be a demonstration sport in the 2004
Manitoba Indigenous Summer Games that will take place in The
Pas/Opaskwayak Cree Nation, from July 22nd to July 25th, 2004. These
games are a training event for athletes planning to attend the North
American Indigenous Games in Buffalo, NY in 2005.
CUPA is looking for players interested in participating
in this high profile event. Besides showing off your skills, you
will be ambassadors for the sport of Ultimate and will be introducing
it to over 1500 athletes, managers, and families from across the
province of Manitoba.
